Vuity Eye Drops

Do you have trouble reading? Do you find yourself doing any of these common things when trying to see up close?

  • Using drugstore reading glasses

  • Increasing font size on screens

  • Increasing lighting on phone or screens

  • Extending your arm and holding text further away from your eyes

If so, you may have a common eye condition called presbyopia and Vuity may be able to help.

WHAT IS PRESBYOPIA?

Presbyopia is a refractive error that makes it hard for middle-aged and older adults to see things up close. It happens because the lens (an inner part of the eye that helps the eye focus) stops focusing light correctly on the retina (a light-sensitive layer of tissue at the back of the eye.

WHAT IS VUITY EYE DROPS?

Vuity is a new eye drop medication used to treat presbyopia, an age-related, blurry near-vision disorder. FDA approved the use of Vuity in adults in October 2021, first of its kind to treat near vision blur for several hours with minimal side effects. The medication lets adults see up-close without needing the help of glasses or contact glasses and while still maintaining their long-range vision.

HOW DOES VUITY WORK?

Vuity works by making your pupils temporarily smaller, which reduces the amount of peripheral light passing through them, thus making objects closer to you appear clearer and sharper. Vuity is administered through the eyes and usually works within 15 minutes, after which it significantly improves near vision for up to 4-8 hours.

Vuity works best in ages 40-55 years, and with certain prescriptions only.

Putting a drop of this advanced formula in each eye, once a day, could change the lives of nearly half of the United States population. Discarding your drugstore frames and disregarding the risk of any complications from refractive surgery could be just a drop (in each eye) away.
